Funeral Services for Alfred H. Bluemer age 82 of 35 East Hatfield St., Massena, NY will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 8:00 PM at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St., Massena, NY. Friends are invited to call at the Phillips Memorial Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow calling hours at 8:00PM. Rev. Jeffrey Aiosa will be officiating the services. Internment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Alfred H. Bluemer passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Bluemer. Sons, Raymond Bluemer and girlfriend Marion Gardner of Massena; Dennis Bluemer and his girlfriend Cindy Murphy of Massena; John Bluemer of Tampa, FL. Daughters and sons-in-law, Marion and Terry Rouse of Brooklyn, MI; Elaine and James Sullivan of Columbiaville, MI; and Linda Stafford of North Branch, MI. Sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Hayden of Lake Orion, MI; and Evelyn and Dallas Nolan of Oxford, MI. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Alfred was born on March 5, 1927 in Oxford, Michigan to the late Fred and Elsie (McKinstry) Bluemer. He attended High School in Oxford, MI and enrolled in the US Navy were he proudly served his country. He married Alice Milledge on October 21, 1947 in Colubus, Ohio. Alfred was reitred as a Pot Room Supervisor from Reynolds Metals with almost 40 years of dedicated services. In his free time, Mr. Bluemer loved to Bowl, fish, and play shuffle board. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to his second home in Zephyrhills, FL. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Hospice of St. Lawrence County in Alfred's memory
