Marion, 83, formerly of LSBH in Brasher, will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. Friends and family may be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena, 64 Andrews St. Massena. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Marcel passed away on January 31, 2010 at Massena Memorial Hospital. He is survived by two sons, and two daughters, Richard and wife Andrea Marion of Cicero,NY., Gerald and wife Sylvie Marion , Lorraine and husband Philip Gabri of Louisville, NY, Lise Boyer and companion Sean Smith of Massena. Nine grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Pauline Sanche of Casselman, Canada, Frances Pomainville of Massena. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John, and a sister Ellen Lafrance. Born July 8, 1926 in Massena, the son on Yvon and Eva (Bruyere) Marion. He spent his early years in Chrysler Ontario, until his family moved to Massena. He was employed at GM Powertrain as a die cast operator, retiring in 1986. He had previously worked at Alcoa. A marriage to Cecile Pomainville ended in divorce. He enjoyed playing hockey as a youth, and an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians. Memorial contibutions to the Trinity Catholic Endowment Fund.
