Funeral services for Micheline "Mickey" B. Durocher, 87 of East Hatfield St, Massena will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be Calvary Cemetery. At the family's request memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Micheline"Mickey" B. Durocher passed away early Monday morning (March 1, 2010) at the Highland Nursing Home where she had been resident since 2003.
Surviving Micheline "Mickey" B. Durocher is her longtime companion John Festa of 40 years, a daughter Elizabeth Durocher, Apache Junction, AZ.Two sons; Thomas and wife Catherine Durocher of Ogdensburg, Antoine and wife Mary Durocher of Three Lakes ,WI, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister Mildred Jawson and her husband Richard of Madison, Wisconsin. Born September 23, 1922 in LaPraire, Canada the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (McKinley) LaFrancois. She was preceased by her husband Ernest of 25 years, her parents, and siblings, Gerald, Jack, Germaine, Mable, Ramona and Christina. She enjoyed music and playing the violin, she was a member of the Fiddler's Association. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir, League of the Sacred Heart, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, a long time member of the "Sweet Adeline's", singing group
