Post, 75 of River Drive, Massena passed away on June 10, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family and hospice. Judy was born on April 13, 1937 in Sharron, CT the daughter of James A. and Esther (Ward) Long. Judy graduated from Massena High School in 1955 and earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene at Eastman School, she worked for two years at St. Lawrence Central and two years in Syracuse before working with Dr. Emmett Folgert for 40 years. She married Robert F. Post on February 3, 1962 at Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Judy was very active in Sacred Heart Church, serving as Eucharist Minister, Bereavement committee, she volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul Society, served on the Trinity School Board, taught confirmation classes. She was a volunteer for Massena Meals on Wheels, longtime member of the Massena Country Club. She enjoyed playing golf, gardening, but her special interest was watching her two son's hockey games. Surviving Judy is her husband Robert F. of Louisville, her two sons, Thomas and Andrew Post both of Massena: sisters Martha and husband Jeff Slack of Massena; Nora and husband Craig Maguire of Baldwinsville, NY: brothers, Timothy and wife Debbie of Massena; Joseph and wife Diane of Aurora, NY; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James Long in 2010. A funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Interment will in Calvary Cemetery.
